It’s coming up on the 18th Anniversary of 9/11, the day terroist hijacked and flew planes into the Twin Towers in New York City, along with the Pentagon and Pennsylvania (which the passengers on board fought the terroirst). I feel it is an important spot to visit and remember what happened that terrible day.

The Twin Towers ,the original 1 World Trade Center, at 1,368 feet and 2 World Trade Center, at 1,362 feet, were the tallest buildings in the world from 1971 to 1973.
On September 11, 2001, terrorist hijacked and flew two Boeing 767 jets into the North and South Towers within minutes of each other; two hours later, both towers collapsed. The attacks killed 2,606 people in and around the towers.

After years of clean up there is now a 9/11 memorial at the site of Towers 1 & 2.

1 World Trade Center, 1 WTC, or Freedom Tower, is the rebuilt World Trade Center complex in Lower Manhattan, New York City. One WTC is the tallest building in the United States, the tallest building in the Western Hemisphere, and the sixth-tallest in the world.

The National September 11 Memorial & Museum (also known as the 9/11 Memorial & museum in New York City commemorating the September 11, 2001 attacks, which killed 2,996 people, and the 1993 World Trade Center bombing, which killed six.

To view the memorial is free and the Museum is $26.
Cool blog. I’ve been to New York and the World Trade Center before and after 9/11 and it reminded me of that. It’s like being right there.

Thank you. I regret that I didn’t go to the top ever. But I always saw it from the harbor and atop the Empire State Building. I have videos when they were doing underground construction
